Add music to a video

Choose a song for a video post. The music plays on Instagram. On Facebook the video has no music.

You can add a song to a post that has a video and goes to Instagram. The song comes from Instagram's own music library, so it is added the way Instagram adds music to a reel.

  1. Step 1: On Approvals, press Watch video on the post.
  2. Step 2: Under Music, press Choose music.
  3. Step 3: Type in Search songs, or pick from Popular now.
  4. Step 4: Press Play to hear a song, then Use this song.
  5. Step 5: The video now plays with the song, the way it will sound on Instagram.

To pick a different one, press Change music. To go without, press Remove music.

Note: On Facebook the video has no music. The song is only added on Instagram.

There is no Music section

  • The post has no video, or its video is still being made.
  • The post does not go to Instagram, or Instagram is not linked. See Instagram is not linked.
  • Music is not switched on for your agency yet. Contact support to ask for it.
