Approve a post
Every post waits for your tick. Read it, look at the image, and approve it or skip it.
ListingMate writes each post and makes its image. Nothing is published until a person at your agency approves it. Posts waiting for you are on Approvals, and the number beside it in the menu is how many there are.
Approve one post
- Step 1: Open Approvals. On a phone it is the second tab in the bottom bar.
- Step 2: Read the caption. If it is cut short, tap Read more.
- Step 3: Tap the picture to see the image at full size. A post with several photos lets you swipe through them.
- Step 4: Check the date and time under the address. That is when the post will go out.
- Step 5: Tap Approve.
The post leaves the list and a message confirms the time it goes live. Approving does not post it there and then. It goes out by itself at the time shown.
Approve several at once
- Step 1: On Approvals, tap Select at the top right.
- Step 2: Tick the posts you are happy with, or tap Select all.
- Step 3: Tap the approve button in the bar at the bottom. It shows how many you have ticked.
If any of the posts you ticked are overdue, a question tells you how many before anything is approved. Overdue posts publish within a few minutes of being approved.
If you do not want a post
Tap Skip. The post will not publish. It is kept on the listing's page under Cancelled as a record.
Messages you might see
The post is marked overdue
You see: Overdue, publishes as soon as approved
Why: The time this post was meant to go out has already passed while it sat waiting.
- Step 1: To send it now, tap Approve. A question reminds you it is overdue. Tap Approve anyway and it publishes within the next few minutes.
- Step 2: To send it later, tap Edit, set a new Go-live time, tap Save changes, then approve it.
- Step 3: If it is no longer worth sending, tap Skip.
The video changed while you were looking
You see: The video for this post changed after this page loaded. Refresh the page and look at it again.
Why: The post's video finished or was replaced after you opened the page, so what you watched is not what would go out.
- Step 1: Reload the page.
- Step 2: Watch the video again, then approve.
The post is no longer waiting
You see: Post not found or no longer a draft
Why: Someone else at your agency approved or skipped it a moment ago.
- Step 1: Reload the page. The list will be up to date.
Some of a bulk approval did not go through
You see: 2 of 5 couldn't be approved. Still selected below, try again.
Why: One or more of the ticked posts could not be approved, usually because a colleague had already dealt with it.
- Step 1: The ones that failed are still ticked. Tap the approve button again.
- Step 2: If the same ones fail twice, reload the page.
