Share your posts to Stories
One switch sends each new post to your Instagram and Facebook Stories as well as your feed.
- Step 1: Open Connections. Facebook and Instagram must be connected first.
- Step 2: On the Facebook and Instagram card, find Stories.
- Step 3: Turn on Share posts to Stories.
From then on each new post also goes to Stories. Posts you had already approved are not changed.
How to tell which posts have a Story
- On Approvals, a post that will also go to Stories is marked Also a Story. Press Story to see the tall Story image.
- After it has gone out, the post says Shared to Stories.
Things worth knowing
- A Story is shared straight after the post itself is published, never before.
- A Story disappears after 24 hours. That is how Stories work on Instagram and Facebook.
- If the Story fails to share, the post in your feed is not affected. ListingMate tries the Story once more, within two days. After that it is not tried again.
Messages you might see
The switch would not turn on
You see: Connect your Facebook Page and Instagram account before turning Stories on.
Why: There is nowhere to share a Story to until you are connected.
- Step 1: Follow Connect Facebook and Instagram, then turn the switch on.
A post went out but its Story did not
Why: Stories were turned on after that post was approved, or Instagram or Facebook refused the Story. A Story that fails is tried once more and then left.
- Step 1: Share the post to your Story yourself from the Instagram or Facebook app.
- Step 2: If Stories never appear for any post, contact support.
