Connect Facebook and Instagram

Give ListingMate permission to post to your agency's Facebook Page and its linked Instagram account. It takes about a minute.

ListingMate drafts posts whether or not you are connected. It can only publish an approved post once your Facebook Page is connected. Until then the menu shows a red mark beside Connections.

Before you start

  • Use the Facebook account that is an admin of your agency's Facebook Page. A personal account with no access to the Page will not work.
  • For Instagram, the account must be a Business or Creator account, and it must be linked to that Facebook Page. A Personal Instagram account cannot be posted to by any app.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open Connections. On a computer it is in the left menu under Setup. On a phone, tap More in the bottom bar, then Connections.
  2. Step 2: Find the card called Facebook and Instagram. It says Not connected.
  3. Step 3: Press Connect with Facebook. Facebook opens.
  4. Step 4: Log in to Facebook if it asks, with the account that manages your Page.
  5. Step 5: Approve every permission Facebook lists. If you untick one, posting will not work.
  6. Step 6: If that account manages more than one Page, you come back to ListingMate and the card says Choose a Page. Pick your agency's Page.
  7. Step 7: The card now says Connected and names your Page. Press Test connection to confirm ListingMate can post.

After a good test you see a line that starts with Working, posting to and names your Page and your Instagram account. If it says No Instagram linked, Facebook only. your posts will go to Facebook but not Instagram. See Instagram is not linked.

Note: Not sure what you are agreeing to? Open What happens when I connect? on the card before you press the button, or read What ListingMate can and cannot do on your Facebook Page.
