Test your Facebook and Instagram connection
One button tells you, right now, whether ListingMate can post to your Page and which Instagram account it will use.
- Step 1: Open Connections.
- Step 2: On the Facebook and Instagram card, press Test connection. The button says Checking for a moment.
- Step 3: Read the line that appears beside the button.
- A line starting Working, posting to names the Facebook Page and the Instagram account. Check both are your agency's. If the Page is wrong, see Posts are going to the wrong Facebook Page.
- No Instagram linked, Facebook only. means Facebook is fine and Instagram is not linked. See Instagram is not linked.
- A red line is the reason the check failed. See Reconnect needed.
The test does not post anything. It only asks Facebook whether the connection is still good. The same check runs by itself every night, and the bottom of the card shows when it last ran.
The test could not reach Facebook
You see: Facebook didn't answer the check.
Why: Facebook was slow or briefly unavailable. Your connection has not been marked as broken.
- Step 1: Wait a few minutes and press Test connection again.
The test could not reach ListingMate
You see: Couldn't reach the server to verify.
Why: Your own internet connection dropped, or the page has been open for a long time.
- Step 1: Check your internet connection, reload the page and press Test connection again.
