Instagram is not linked, so posts only go to Facebook

Your Facebook Page is connected but ListingMate cannot find an Instagram account on it. Link the two in Facebook, then test again.

ListingMate reaches Instagram through your Facebook Page. If the Page has no Instagram account linked to it, there is nowhere for the Instagram post to go, and only Facebook gets it.

The Connections card says Instagram is not linked

You see: Instagram is not linked, only Facebook will get posts.

Why: The Facebook Page you connected has no Instagram Business or Creator account linked to it.

  1. Step 1: In the Instagram app, check the account type. It must be Business or Creator, not Personal. You change it in Instagram's own settings under account type.
  2. Step 2: In the Facebook app, open your Page, then Page settings, then Linked accounts, then Instagram, and connect the Instagram account there.
  3. Step 3: Back in ListingMate, open Connections and press Test connection.
  4. Step 4: If it still says No Instagram linked, Facebook only. press Reconnect with Facebook and approve the permissions again, then test once more.

A post went to Facebook but not Instagram, and shows an Instagram message

You see: Instagram isn't linked to your Facebook Page yet. Link it on the Connections page, or this post will only go to Facebook.

Why: The post was published while no Instagram account was linked.

  1. Step 1: Link Instagram using the steps above.
  2. Step 2: New posts will go to both. A post that already went out to Facebook is not sent to Instagram afterwards.

The same steps are on the card itself: open Link Instagram to this Page on the Facebook and Instagram card.
