Upload your logo, and fix one that looks wrong
Which logo files work, the size limit, and why a logo can show as a box over your photos.
- Step 1: Open Brand kit and go to Visual.
- Step 2: Press Upload logo. If there is one already, the button says Replace.
- Step 3: Choose the file. A PNG with a transparent background works best.
- Step 4: Check it in the Preview panel, then press Save Brand kit.
What works
- PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG.
- Up to 5 MB.
- A transparent background. Your logo sits on top of a photo, so a logo with a white or coloured background shows as a box.
Messages you might see
The logo shows as a box over the photo
You see: This looks like it has a solid background, not transparent. It will show as a box over your photos.
Why: The file has a filled background. JPG files always do.
- Step 1: Ask whoever made your logo for a PNG with a transparent background. Most designers and sign writers can send one in a minute.
- Step 2: Upload that file and press Save Brand kit.
The file is too large
You see: That logo is larger than 5 MB, which is the limit. Upload a smaller one.
Why: Logo files over 5 MB are refused.
- Step 1: Export a smaller copy. A logo 1,000 pixels wide is plenty.
The file is not an image
You see: That file is not an image we can use. Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG.
Why: The file is a PDF, a Word document, or another type that is not a picture.
- Step 1: Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG instead.
The logo could not be converted
You see: We could not use that logo (it is a type of file we cannot safely convert). Upload a PNG or JPG instead.
Why: Some SVG files contain things that are not safe to draw, and ListingMate will not use them.
- Step 1: Upload a PNG version of the same logo.
The logo you had cannot be drawn
You see: This logo is a type of file we cannot put on your posts. Upload it again and we will convert it.
Why: The logo was saved before ListingMate could convert that file type.
- Step 1: Press Replace and upload the same file again.
- Step 2: Press Save Brand kit.
