Turn on Autopilot

Autopilot approves the everyday posts for you at times you choose. You get an email each time and can pull any post back before it goes out.

Without Autopilot, every post waits for your tick. With it on, ListingMate approves the routine posts itself and gives each one a posting time. It never posts on the same day: the earliest it will schedule a post is tomorrow, so you always have time to pull one back.

Before you can turn it on

  • You need a paid plan.
  • Facebook and Instagram must be connected.
  • You must have approved 3 posts yourself. The first posts for any agency are always seen by a person.

The line at the top of Autopilot tells you which of these is still missing.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open Autopilot. On a computer it is in the left menu under Workflow. On a phone, tap More, then Autopilot.
  2. Step 2: Under Which posts, tick the kinds of post you are happy to go out without you: Coming soon, Just listed, Open home and Feature.
  3. Step 3: Under Posting times, keep the times you want and press the cross beside any other to remove it. Use Add a time to add one. Autopilot only ever posts at these times.
  4. Step 4: Choose a Daily limit. Autopilot will not approve more than that many posts in one day.
  5. Step 5: Press Turn Autopilot on, read the confirmation, and press Turn on.

To change the kinds, times or limit later, change them and press Save changes. To stop, press Turn Autopilot off. Posts it has already approved stay approved.

Note: Sold, under offer, price change, testimonial and settlement posts always wait for you, whatever you tick.

Messages you might see

The button is greyed out and it mentions a plan

You see: Autopilot is part of the paid plans.

Why: Your agency is not on a paid plan.

  1. Step 1: Press Choose a plan beside the message. See Plans, prices and what is free.

It asks you to connect first

You see: Connect Facebook and Instagram first.

Why: There is nowhere for an approved post to go yet.

  1. Step 1: Press Open Connections and follow Connect Facebook and Instagram.

It asks you to approve some posts yourself

You see: Approve 3 posts yourself first, so the first ones are always seen by you. You have approved 1 so far.

Why: Fewer than 3 posts have been approved by a person at your agency.

  1. Step 1: Open Approvals and approve posts until you have done 3.
  2. Step 2: Come back to Autopilot.

Too many or too few times

You see: Pick between 1 and 8 posting times.

Why: Autopilot needs at least one time and allows at most eight.

  1. Step 1: Add or remove times until you have between 1 and 8, then press Save changes.
