Change or remove a post that has already been published

Once a post is on Facebook and Instagram, changes are made there, not in ListingMate.

When a post is published, Facebook and Instagram each keep their own copy of the words and the picture. ListingMate keeps a record of what went out, with a link to each live post, but it cannot reach in and change them.

Find the live post

  1. Step 1: Open Listings and tap the listing.
  2. Step 2: Find the post under Published.
  3. Step 3: Tap View on Facebook or View on Instagram.

What you can do there

  • Fix a typo: edit the caption in Facebook, and again in Instagram. Both apps let you edit a caption after posting.
  • Change the picture: neither app lets you swap the picture on a live post. Delete the post there and publish a new one.
  • Take it down: delete it in Facebook and in Instagram.

The record in ListingMate stays, marked Published, even after you delete the post in the apps.
